3. MAINTENANCE & CLEANING
COOKER'S MAINTENANCE
• Clean the pressure cooker with the detergent after cooking.
• Keep the pressure cooker dry when not in use.
• Do not scrape the pressure cooker with hard things such as metal utensils.
• Do not let the pressure cooker touch other metals of different kinds when putting
it away.
SILICON GASKET MAINTENANCE
• Wash and clean with water and dry it with a towel before or after cooking. Do not
allow any oil remain in the gasket.
• Do not keep the gasket with acid or alkaline or oily substances inside for a long time.
Do not wash it strongly. Both of them will cause the gasket to deteriorate.
• Do not cool the pressure cooker with very cold water, it will cause the gasket to crack
very soon.
• When not in use, place the gasket flatly.
• store it at room temperature between 15ºC-40ºC
• Do not use the gasket for other functions. Do not bend or twist.
• After prolonged usage, leakage may occur. The gasket must be replaced with a new
one.
MAINTENANCE OF OTHER PARTS
• Wash and clean the pressure-control valve, clog-proof filter and vent-pipe. If there
is any dirt, eliminate and clean them.
• Leakage or earlier exhaust of the silicon parts may occur when using the cooker
after prolonged usage. The silicon spare parts must be replaced with new ones. Our
suggestion is replacing every 400 hours of normal usage.
CLEANING STICKY FOOD INSIDE THE PRESSURE COOKER
Clean the sticky food with wooden chopsticks or wooden spoons.
If there is some food stuck hard, fill the cooker with hot water and clean the sticky food
again once it becomes soft. Do not get rid of the sticky food with hard tools made of
metals.
