Electrical start
GY 53LME Model
1. Guide the gas throttle through the electric starter unit as shown in figure 5a.
2. Insert the throttle cable into the engine brake le-ver (3) using a plier. (fig. 5b-5c)
3. Secure the electric starter unit (18) using the screws (f ) on the upper push bar (4). (fig. 5d)
• Ensure that the ignition cable is connected to the spark plug.
• Stand behind the mower. One hand squeezes the engine brake lever (3) to the handle, the other pulls the pull start.
• Start the engine using the reversing starter (17). To do this pull the handle approx. 10 – 15 cm (until you feel a resistance)
and then start the engine with a sharp pull. If the engine does not start, pull the handle again.
• Due to protective coating on the engine, a small amount of smoke may be present during the initial use of the
product and should be considered normal.
