USING THE AIR CONDITIONER
Do Not Operate in Freezing Outdoor Conditions
This cool-only air conditioner was not designed for freezing
outdoor conditions. It must not be used when the outdoor
temperature is below freezing (32°F).
Remote Control
•
To ensure proper operation, aim the remote control at the
signal receiver on the air conditioner.
•
The remote control signal has a range of up to 20 feet.
Cool Mode
Use t he Cool mode at Low, Med, High or Speed for cooling.
Use t he Temperat ure Increase
set t he desired t emperat ure bet ween 64°F and 86°F in 1°F
increment s.
An elect ronic t hermost at is used t o maint ain t he room
t emperat ure. The compressor will cycle on and off t o keep
t he room at t he set level of comfort . Set t he t hermost at at a
lower number and t he indoor air will become cooler. Set t he
t hermost at at a higher number and t he indoor air will become
warmer.
NOTE:
while set t o a Cool set t ing or if t urned from a fan set t ing t o
a Cool set t ing, it may t ake approximat ely 3 minut es for t he
compressor t o st art and cooling t o begin.
ECO Mode
Cont rols t he fan.
ON— The fan will cycle on and off wit h t he compressor. This
may result in wider variat ions of room t emperat ure and
humidit y. NOTE: t he fan may cont inue t o run for a short t ime
or may pulse int ermit t ent ly aft er t he compressor cycles off t o
sample t he room air.
Fan Only Mode
Use t he Fan Only Mode at Low, Med or High fan speed t o
provide air circulat ion and filt ering wit hout cooling. Since
fan- only set t ings do not provide cooling, a Set t emperat ure
cannot be ent ered. The room t emperat ure will appear in t he
display.

Make sure nothing is between the air conditioner and the
remote control that could block the signal.

Make sure batteries are fresh and installed correctly as
indicated on the remote control.
Cooling Descript ions
For Normal Cooling— Select t he Cool mode and
High or Med fan wit h a middle set t emperat ure.
For Maximum Cooling— Select t he Cool mode
and High fan wit h a lower set t emperat ure.
For Quiet er and Night t ime Cooling— Select t he
Cool mode and Low fan wit h a middle set t emperat ure.
OFF— The fan runs all t he t ime, while t he compressor cycles
on and off.
