Transportation

Tipping hazard:
Lower boom tubes to completely collapsed state
before transporting the cable puller.
Failure to observe this warning could result in severe
injury or death.
When using the wheeled dolly to transport the
G6 Turbo:
• Keep personnel out of the path of transport.
• Evaluate the terrain over which the dolly is to
move. If in doubt, obtain additional help and move
the dolly slowly.
• Do not transport over inclines of more than 15°.
• Do not transport the dolly with boom tubes longer
than supplied.
Kick-Stand Handle Orientation
The G6 boom-dolly is equipped with a handle, which
may be adjusted to different positions to accomodate
individual preferences.
To adjust the orientation of the kick-stand handle:
1. Pull the ball knob to unlock the handle.
2. Adjust kick-stand handle to desired orientation.
3. Release the ball knob to lock the handle in place.

Wheeling

To prepare the unit for transportation:
1. Fully retract boom.
2. Return nose to forward position.
3. Adjust kick-stand handle to comfortable height.
4. Ensure no cords are still plugged in or ropes
wrapped around either capstan.
a. Check foot switch cord.
b. Check power cord.
5. Tip boom-dolly and push to desired location. The
boom-dolly can be pulled behind as well.

Lifting

Manual Lifting
A minimum of 5 persons is required to manually lift
the G6. Support the unit at the nose, around its center
of mass, and at the base. Use firm handholds and lift
slowly and steadily.
Powered Lifting
If lifting via powered methods such as a crane:
1) Fully retract the boom handle.
2) Connect a lifting sling to the top puller mounting pin.
3) Feed the sling between the sheave and frame of the
nose so that it is trapped.
4) Lift the sling from above the nose.
