Fill the engine with oil and gasoline:

Place the trash pump
on a level surface then
remove the engine oil
dipstick by unscrewing it.

ignition switch and
the fuel valve to their
ON positions.

Slide the throttle to run.

be towards
high mark on the
dipstick. Replace
the dipstick when
the engine is full.

The suction and discharge hoses are not included. Assemble them as per the manufacturer instructions.

Pull the recoil slowly until resistance
is felt, then pull rapidly to start the engine.
NOTE: The starting position of the choke will
vary depending on the engine temperature. If
starting a cold engine, move the choke lever
towards the closed position. If starting a warm
engine, move the choke lever towards the
open position. Once the engine warms up
from running, you may need to adjust choke
towards the open position until idle is smooth.

Thread the strainer barb (3) into the strainer
(4). Slip the hose clamp (2) over the end of the
suction hose (1) (not included). Slide the end
of the hose over the strainer barb then tighten
the clamp.

The trash pump was shipped from the factory
without oil in the engine. Running the engine
without oil will result in severe engine damage
and void the warranty. To avoid causing engine
damage and voiding the warranty, fill the
engine with the recommended oil type before
starting.
3.
Remove fuel cap, fill fuel tank with fresh
gasoline, then replace fuel cap.
NOTE: Fill with engine off and cool. Do not
over fill fuel tank.
A.
Place the trash pump on a level surface.
B.
Completely immerse the strainer but do
not allow it to rest on the bottom of the water
source.
C.
Do not exceed the maximum suction
head and total head lifts as sepecified for
your trash pump.
NOTE:
The suction head lift should always
be less than the discharge head lift.
D.
Remove the primer funnel cover and fill
the pump with water. Thread the cover back
on.
Shutdown:
I.
Slide the throttle to slow.
J.
Turn the engine ignition switch to the OFF position
