3. ASSEMBLY
Before any work (maintenance, tool change,
assembly) on the power tool, remove the
battery from the power tool.
The battery must be charged before fi rst
use.
Inserting the battery into the machine (Fig. B-1)
Ensure that the exterior of the battery is clean and
dry before connecting to the charger or machine.
1. Insert the battery (12) into the base of the ma-
chine as shown in Fig. B-1.
2. Push the battery further forward until it clicks
into place.
Removing the battery from the machine (Fig. B-1)
1. Push the battery release button (14).
2. Pull the battery out of the machine like shown
in Fig. B-1.
Checking the battery charging status (Fig. B-2)
• To check the battery charge status, push the
button (15) on battery shortly.
• The battery has 3 lights indicating the charge
level, the more lights that burn, the more
charge the battery has left.
• When the lights are not burning it means the
battery is empty and must be charged immedi-
ately.
Charging the battery with the charger (Fig. B-2)
1. Take the battery (12) from the machine.
2. Turn the battery (12) to upside down position
and slide it onto the charger (13) as shown in
Fig. B-2.

3. Push the battery until it is fully pushed into the
slot.
4. Plug the charger plug into an electrical outlet
and wait for a while. The LED indicators on the
charger (17) will lighten up and show the charg-
er status
The charger has 2 LED indicators (17) which
indicate the status of the charging process:

• Fully charging the 2Ah battery may take up to
60 minutes.
• Fully charging the 4Ah battery may take up to
120 minutes.
After the battery is fully charged remove the charg-
er plug from the outlet and remove the battery from
the charger.
When the machine is not being used over a
longer period of time it is best to store the
battery in charged condition.
Tool assembly (Fig. C, D)
• Attach the shoulder strap (9) to the loop on the
handle (7) using the carabiner (10).
• Release the head locking ring (3) by rotating it
anti-clockwise. Do not completely remove the
ring from the head.
• Fit the hedge trimmer head (1) to the telescopic
handle (7) by inserting the power connector (8)
into the head.
• If the connector (8) is not inserted properly, there
might be no electrical connection and the tool
will not work. Make sure that the power connec-
tor is fully inserted into the hedge trimmer head.
The screw (18) on the handle should be covered
by the trimmer head (1) and locking ring (3).
• Secure the hedge trimmer head (1) by rotating
the locking ring (3) clockwise
