Vertical fixing (or on partition)
To fix boards vertically (or on partition), adjust the beam in the same way as for
fixing under pitches. J1
Operate the lever situated on the operating handle so as to tilt the beam.
Adjust the two feet situated at the front of the device, introducing the Clip & Go
locks in position 2.
Rotate the arm extension, ref. PR0429 (see diagram part), so that the metal stops
are upwards and can receive the plasterboard.
Now, load the plasterboard onto the arms, with the latter in the tilted position.
After moving the device close to the uprights on which the plasterboard will be
positioned, the operator shall operate the lever situated on the operating handle so
as to release the lock from its location and thus make it possible for the beam and
the plasterboard to tilt into the vertical position for positioning on the uprights.
Continue rotating the winch's handle so as to bring the plasterboard's top in contact
with the ceiling. Immobilize the LEVPANO® by operating the wheel brakes and then
fix the plasterboard on the uprights.
Provide for sufficient space between the bottom of the plasterboard and the floor in
order to release the metal stops from the arm after fixing the plasterboard.
7.
Using the platforms of the LEVPANO® I
As specified in paragraph 1, the platforms supplied with the LEVPANO® I can be
used to fit plasterboard panels in order to fix them on ceiling or under pitches.
When the platforms are used, they must be firmly fixed to the chassis, using the 4
screws.
B. SAFETY RULES
Make sure that :
The wooden platforms are firmly fixed to the chassis (LEVPANO ® I réf.513000) if
these are used
All the elements are perfectly assembled,
Nothing impairs the proper working of the LEVPANO®,
Before lifting a load :
Make function the LEVPANO® and check the general state of the device.
Make sure that the head locks function properly.
Also make sure that the various Clip & Go locks operate properly.
Make absolutely sure that the cables are correctly wound on the winch's
drums, and check their position in the groove of the corresponding pulleys.
Verify that the cables are parallel to the inside of the columns so as to enable
the assembly to work properly.
Lock the 2 wheels provided with a brake.
Make sure that the columns are clean
Do not rotate the winch crank any longer, when the indicator situated at the
bottom of the intermediate column appears. K1
THE FOLLOWING IS FORBIDDEEN : Do not use the LEVPANO® :
beyond the maximum use load (75 kg when not extended, 60Kg when
extended)
if a cable is broken
beyond the maximum fixing height, according to the adjustment chosen for
the head tube.
Do not remain under the load.
When using the LEVPANO®, comply with the work hygiene and safety rules.

2.
The winch requires regular servicing by a competent department. Regular cleaning
makes for a longer service life.
Never work with a defective cable.
Keep the pinions, bearings and reel pin well greased. Use a Molydal N°3790 type
.
grease
L1
Keep the winch in good operating condition. Non-serviced mechanical parts can
cause operating problems or even accidents.
3.
The head requires cleaning at intervals.
Verify that there is sufficient play to make it possible for the discs to pivot to each
other.
Make sure that the two pivoting discs are always correctly greased.
Use grease of the Molydal type, N°3790 L2
D. PROCEDURE FOR CHANGING THE TWO CABLES
Material required :
8 mm spanner - 10 mm spanner – Pliers - Circlip pliers - One cable spare kit ref.
PR 0012 comprising : 2 cables + 1 spring + 2 plastic sliding pieces.
1.
ADVICE : Take care to make the position of each part visible before removing it so
as to limit the risks or errors!
1- In the working position, remove the head, beam and arm assembly from the head
extension tube after removing the pin situated at the bottom of the head.
2- Unwind the winch's 2 cables completely. Pull the ends of the cables out through
the opening in the winch spool
3- Remove the pulleys from the frame M1
4- Unscrew the CHC screw from the small plastic guide piece. Remove this part by
pressing the clip with a tool. M1
5- Unscrew the 2 CHC screws from the large plastic guide piece. Unclip this part by
pressing with a tool on the clip. M1
6- Remove the columns from the frame, and lay them flat on a workbench. M2
7- Remove the large plastic guide profile by pulling it apart by hand M2
8- Remove the upper pulleys from the intermediate column M2
9- Take out the small column. The cables must be well centered to prevent them
from getting blocked.
10- Remove the traction cable (right without spring) M3
11- Remove the safety cable by opening a loop of the spring with pliers (left with
spring) M3
2.
ADVICE : When reassembling, be careful not to overlap the cables!
1- Insert the new cables through the bottom of the small column
2- Install the spring in the small column and at the end of the safety cable (left) by
opening the loops with pliers. Retighten the loops if necessary.
3- Pass the cables through the top opening of the intermediate column and put the
small column in the intermediate column. Be careful not to overlap the cables.
4- Reassemble the pulleys on the intermediate column by putting the cables in their
grooves N2
5- Insert 2 M5 square nuts into the large new plastic sliding piece (included in the
spare cable kit). Mount this piece on the intermediate column by stretching it slightly
by hand. Pay attention to the mounting direction N2
6- Pass the cables through the grooves of the lower pulleys of the intermediate
column N3
7- Pass the cables through the top opening of the frame and put the columns in the
frame. Be careful not to overlap the cables. N4
8- Reassemble the pulleys by putting the cables in their grooves N4
9- Install a new small plastic slider (included in the spare cable kit) and tighten the
CHC screw N4
10- Insert and screw the large plastic part in the frame (2 CHC screws) N4
11- Pass the cables through the winch spool. They should exit through the large
opening. Screw on the cable clamps, making sure they are the same level each
other. Pull on the cable to get the cable clamps inside the spool. N5
12- Turn the winch's handle to wind the cables and make a few tests of ascent and
descent without load
