5.2 IGNITION AND COMBUSTION
First, place 3-4 logs or wood briquettes in the combustion chamber and place small
pieces of wood or paper to start the combustion. All existing glass cleaning vents
should be open. Then, after lighting the cooker, close the flue chamber lid. For air
flow control, the thermostatic regulation settings on the enclosed information page
must be observed.
The cooker should be lit with care during the first use and the flame should be kept
as low as possible. Careful ignition will prevent the formation of cracks in the
insulating stones, damage to the paint and deterioration of the material. The smell
caused by the protective paint on the first ignition of the cooker is short-lived, so
keep doors and windows open.
CAUTION: Our products must not be used to burn environmentally
hazardous waste.
5.2.1 How to add fuel
Adequate fuel, sufficient chimney draught and proper use of the cooker have an
impact on the cleanliness of the windows. In this context, we recommend using
wood in a single layer and using wood to fill the width of the combustion chamber.
When opening the combustion chamber lid, make sure that the ventilation flap of
the mechanical thermostat is closed. After adding fuel, the combustion chamber
lid must be closed and the mechanical thermostat must be set.
5.2.2 Use during the transition period
In the transition period or during hot weather, problems may occur in the flue
(smoke) from the chimney. To avoid damage in the transition period, the product
should be operated with less fuel or should not be burned at all.
5.2.3 Ashtray Discharge
After a long period of burning, at least once a day, the ashes should be transferred
from the grate to the ash pan. We recommend that you do this when the cooker is
cold. When the ash pan is half full, emptying should be considered.
If the ashtray is full, the cast iron parts will remain between the combustion
chamber and the ash, and air intake will be impossible. This can lead to damage
