MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Checking and changing hydraulic oil
Always check the hydraulic oil level before any
use.
1. Take out the control lever;
2. Lift the log splitter by the carry handle and hold it
upright;
3. Remove the vent plug and oil dipstick;
4. If you want to change the oil, please empty the tank
first. Place the front of the log splitter inside, for
example, a bowl and lift up the backside
5. Put the splitter back in a vertical position;
6. Fill the tank to at least the mark of the dipstick. After
adding the oil, insert and tighten the dipstick.
7. Turn on the log splitter and run it at an idle speed to
remove the air from the hydraulic system;
8. When the oil level is correct and there is no air in the
hydraulic system, insert the vent plug.
Storage and cleaning
Cleaning
Clean the appliance thoroughly after each use. Careful
handling protects the appliance and extends its service
life.
Before cleaning, allow the log splitter to cool down
completely.
Storage
Store the log splitter turned off. Allow to cool for 5
minutes before storing.
When not in use, store the splitter in a dry, clean place,
free of corrosive vapours and out of the reach of
children.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
The packaging has been manufactured using
recyclable materials, which you can dispose of at
your local recycling collection points.
Never dispose of power tools in your household
waste.
Waste such as used oil, fuel, lubricant, filters and
wearing parts can harm humans, animals and the
environment and as such must be properly disposed of.
Make sure that the deactivated equipment is forwarded
for disposal in a technically correct way.
You can get information regarding the disposal of used
log splitters from your local recycling authority.
