○ For grain sizes, refer to Table 6.
○ Sanding belt grain should be coarser than sandpaper
used for manual work.
○ Use sanding belt of same grain size until uniform
surface is obtained. Changing grain sizes may result
in poor fi nish.
5. Switching the sander ON and OFF (Fig. 15)
The power switch is turned ON when the trigger is
pulled, and if the lock-on button is once depressed,
the power switch becomes locked, allowing
continuous operation.
The lock-on button can be released pulling the trigger.
(Fig. 15)
Never turn the power switch ON when the sander
is contacting the surface to be sanded. This is
necessary to preclude damage to the material. The
same applies when switching the power OFF.

CAUTION
● Immediately after use, always ensure that the
switch is in the OFF position and pull out the

● Since the sander may suck in dust and debris,
be careful not to place it where there is much
dust and debris when it is still spinning right
after use.
● Do not operate the tool without the sanding belt
fi tted. Doing so may damage the pulleys.
ATTACHING THE DUST COLLECTOR
WARNING
● For details on how to use the dust collector and
the type of dust that can be collected, read the
dust collector instruction manual carefully.
Attaching the elbow to the duct on the tool enables
the metabo HPT power tool dust collector to be
connected. (Fig. 17)
