5. Before starting the equipment

Be sure to read the following information before
you put the cordless screwdriver into operation:

1. Charge the battery pack with the charger
supplied (battery and charger not included
in 4259985). An empty battery pack requires
a charging period of approximately 0.5 to 1
hour.
2. Only ever use sharp drill bits and screwdriver
bits which are suitable for the purpose and in
faultless condition.
3. Always check for concealed electric cables
and gas and water pipes when drilling and
screwdriving in walls.
Note!
The drywall screwdriver is equipped with a jaw
clutch. The spindle will only start to rotate once
the screw is pushed into the workpiece.
6. Operation
6.1 Changeover switch (Fig. 2/Item 3)
The slide switch above the On/Off switch is for
setting the direction of rotation of the cordless
screwdriver and for preventing the cordless
screwdriver from being switched on inadvertently.
You can select between clockwise and counter-
clockwise rotation. To avoid causing damage to
the gearing, the direction of rotation must only be
changed when the equipment is at a standstill.
When the slide switch is in the middle position,
the On/Off switch is blocked.
6.2 On/Off switch (Fig. 2/Item 4)
Infi nitely variable speed control is possible with
the On/Off switch. The further you push the
switch, the higher the speed of the cordless
screwdriver.
Switching on:
Press the On/Off switch (4)

Continuous operation:

Secure the ON/OFF switch (4) with the ON lock
(5).
Switching off :
Press the On/Off switch (4) briefl y or let go.
