to achieve an optimal fit and retighten the screw to secure. You can choose between
5 different positions.
2.2 Secondly, adjust the length in the lower shell area. To do this, loosen the screws
that attach the joint to the lower shell and move it until the condylar support is
aligned with the condyle in the patient's inner knee. Once the height has been
adjusted, retighten the screws and fix the straps, as shown in fig. 2. Important:
depending on the hip to be treated, the straps must be altered so that they are
always in the position shown in fig. 2, i.e., the large buckles must always be on the
front of the thigh. See fig. 3.
If necessary, more height adjustment can be achieved by changing the position of
the lower shell's screws, as shown in fig. 4.
If internal rotation over the patient's knee is required, pull the straps behind the
knee as shown in fig. 5. If necessary, trim the excess strap lengths, as shown in fig. 6.
To do this, remove the crocodile fasteners, trim the excess strap and reattach
Once the entire orthosis has been correctly adjusted, pass the pelvic band tensioning
straps between the shell and the joint as shown in fig. 7, tighten as required and use
the self-fastening hook-and-loop strips to secure them to the belt. If the straps are
too long, remove the crocodile fasteners, trim the excess, then reattach and adjust.
Abduction adjustment:
To adjust the degree of abduction, loosen the lower side screw (B) (fig. 1) without
removing it completely. Next, select the desired angle (0⁰,15⁰,30⁰) and tighten the
screw. For convenience, this adjustment should be made before fitting the orthosis to
the patient.
Flexion-extension adjustment:
To adjust the flexion-extension, use an Allen key to loosen the central screws (C) (see
fig. 1) until you are able to rotate the cogwheels (D) (see fig. 1) without releasing them
completely. To make it easier to rotate the cogwheels, after loosening the screws, insert
the tip of the Allen key into the hole marked by the arrows on the cogwheels, as shown
in fig. 8. Then adjust the degrees of flexion and extension according to the patient's
requirements. For convenience, this adjustment should be made before fitting the
orthosis to the patient. After the adjustment has been made, re-tighten the screws.
Contraindications:
Not indicated for use on open wounds with swelling, reddening, or heat
Product maintenance - washing instructions:
