• To reduce the risks associated with fly off of backup pad or parts:
- An inadequately tightened backup pad could cause the threaded shaft to break causing damage to the
tool and work piece and possible injury to the operator or bystanders.
- Use care in attaching backup pad; following the instructions to ensure that it is securely attached to
the tool before use.
- Never over-tighten the backup pad.
- Never free spin the tool.
- Do not allow the tool to be started unintentionally.
- Never point the polisher in the direction of yourself or another person.
• To reduce the risks associated with hazardous vibration:
- If any physical hand/wrist discomfort is experienced, work should be stopped promptly to seek
medical attention. Hand, wrist, and arm injury may result from repetitive work, motion, and
overexposure to vibration.
- Do not operate this tool for long periods of time. Vibration caused by the operating action of this tool
may cause permanent injury to fingers, hands and arms. Use gloves to provide extra cushion, take
frequent rest periods and limit daily time of use.
• To reduce the risks associated with high pressure air:
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment when using compressed air to clean the tool and
accessories.
Technical Specifications:
Operator Hand/Arm Vibration level: less than 4.1 m/s²
Declared vibration level in accordance with EN 62841-1:2015 Annex I, measurements carried out in
accordance with standard IEC 62841-2-4:2014 , EN ISO 28927-3:2009 and EN 62841-1:2015.
Declared Dual-Number Noise Emission Values according to EN 62841-1:2015 Annex I
A-WEIGHTED EMISSION SOUND PRESSURE LEVEL AT THE WORKSTATION:
Measured value: LpA = 76,5 dB(A) (ref 20μPa)
Uncertainty: KpA = 1,5 dB
A-WEIGHTED SOUND POWER LEVEL:
Measured value: LWA = 86,0 dB(A) (ref 1 pW)
Uncertainty: KWA = 1,5 dB
Values determined according to UNI EN ISO 3744:2010 sound power level and UNI EN ISO 11203:2009
sound pressure level
NOTE: The sum of a measured noise emission value and its associated uncertainty represents an upper
bound of the range of values which can occur in the measurements.
