Installation
Remove the travel bag!
Remove carry straps from seat back. (see Rotite
Pull bottom seat handle to release the base of the seat (Fig. 2). Fold base down and push back until you hear an
audible 'click'. The seat is now locked in position.
There are 2 ways you can secure the RyRy Scallop:
l.
lsofix and top-tether.
2.
lsofix and seat belt.
Never use the lsofix attachments on their own. They are designed to be used in conjunction with the top-tether or the
seat belt.
lsofix Installation
i)
If using lsofix with the top-tether, you will need to remove the top-tether first from the rear stowage compartment,
as this will be inaccessible once the lsofix bars are locked in place.
ii)
At the rear of seat, pull down the lsofix bars to the horizontal, at which point you will hear an audible 'click'.
(Fig. 3). Now pull the release tab (Fig. lL) on the rear of the seat, this will extend the lsofix bars ready for installation
into the car.
iii) Push the lsofix bars into the lsofix anchor points in the car (in my experience this takes some wiggling around) but
once the hooks lock on, check that the indicators (Fig. 4) on both sides are green to confirm they are secure.
Top-tether Installation
i)
Remove top-tether from rear stowage compartment.
ii)
At the back of your car's seat, you will find a top tether anchorage point. Feed the tether over the back of the chair
(but under any headrest) and clip onto the anchor point (Fig. 5).
iii) Tighten tether so it is taut with no slack (Fig. 7).
iv) Check to see the indicator has turned green on the tether-tightener and give a sharp pull to check tether is secure (Fig. 8 ).
