Product usage
Before first use
•
Clean the unit before first use ( CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE).
•
Do not place the unit on a hot surface such as a stove.
•
The unit may give off a little smoke or a slight odour on the first use. This is normal for
new units and will wear off with regular use. Alternatively, you can turn the unit on for 5
minutes prior to use to remove the smell and smoke.
WARNING!
•
Do not connect the unit to the mains plug until it is fully assembled, and you
are ready to start cooking.
Using the crepe maker
1.
Prepare the batter, cover it and set aside. Ideally the batter should rest for 1 hour at room
temperature.
2.
Unwind the power cable completely from the cable storage area on the bottom of the
base.
3.
Place the base on a flat, stable, non-slip and heat-resistant surface. Make sure it is
at least 20cm away from other objects.
4.
Place the crepe plate / blinis plate on the base. Make sure it is fitted correctly before
turning the unit on.
5.
Check the thermostat knob is in the 0 (OFF) position. Connect the power cable to a
wall socket. The indicator light will turn green.
6.
Turn the thermostat knob clockwise to the desired cooking level (1-4, MAX). The
indicator light will change to red to show that heating has begun. You can adjust the
temperature at any time during use by turning the thermostat knob to a higher or
lower setting.
CAUTION - RISK OF BURNS! Never touch the hotplates when the unit is
warming up, in use or cooling.
7.
Allow the unit to preheat for 4 to 5 minutes. The indicator light will turn green when the
unit has reached the set temperature.
