The auto-darkening welding helmet is designed to protect
the welder's eyes from radiation including visible light,
ultraviolet (UV) radiation and infrared radiation (IR)
resulting from certain gas welding processes.
This welding helmet is suitable for all types of electric
welding: covered electrodes, MIG/MAG, TIG, plasma
welding, cutting and laser welding.
Remove the protective films on both lenses before
using the helmet.
Never place the helmet or filter over hot surfaces.
Use the helmet within the temperature range of -10° C to
60° C.
Never immerse the filter in water.
Do not expose the filter to liquids and protect it from dirt.
Replace cover lens if cracked or scratched.
If the helmet does not darken with the appearance of the
arc, stop immediately and contact your official VITO
distributor.
This helmet can be used with two different operating
modes, welding or grinding.
Grinding mode: Used for performing metal grinding or
deburring tasks. In this mode, the filter darkening function
is disabled. The light intensity allows a clear view for
deburring or grinding with the helmet, providing facial
protection.
Welding mode: Used for most welding applications. In this
mode the darkening function is activated. When you spot a
welding arc, select a suitable shade level, delay time and
sensitivity.
1. Turn the operation mode selector button (9) to the
"GRINDING" position for grinding tasks or to the
"WELDING" position for welding tasks.
