5.4 Determining the driver version used
The installed device driver is required to use the adapter.
"USB to UART Bridge Controller" (for the preparation of the COM port)

1. With the adapter plugged in, access the device
manager.

Start \ Settings \ System control \
System \ Hardware
2. For the COM driver, open the sub-item
Connections (COM and LPT).
3. Then, by double-clicking, open the properties
for the connection "CP210x USB to UART
Bridge Controller (COM x)".
4. Select the sub-item Driver.

Here, under the item "Driver version",
the currently used driver version can be
determined.
5.5 Checking the correct installation and COM port
Is the driver installed correctly?

Under which COM port can I now address the newly installed adapter?

1. Access the device manager.

Start \ Settings \ System control \ System \ Hardware
2. Open the sub-item Connections (COM and LPT).
If the installation was successful, the entry "CP210x USB to UART Bridge Controller
(COM x)" will be displayed.

The x after the COM stands for the COM port that is now available (e.g. COM 4).
The adapter must be connected to the PC for it to be displayed in the device
manager!

If the entry is marked with an exclamation mark or is not included, the driver has not
been installed correctly.
