operator which can cause an unsafe situation.
- Never touch the nylon cutting head or blade when ever
the engine is running. If it is necessary to replace the
protector or cutting attachment, be sure to stop the
engine and confirm that the cutting device has stopped
running.
- The engine should be turned off when the machine is
moved between work areas.
- Pay attention to loosening and overheating of parts. If
there is any abnormality of the machine, stop operation
immediately and check the machine carefully. If
necessary, have the machine serviced by an authorized
dealer. Never continue to operate a machine which
may be malfunctioning.
- In start-up or during operation of the engine, never
touch hot parts such as the muffler, the high voltage
wire or the spark plug.
- After the engine has stopped, the muffler is still hot.
Never place the machine in any places where there
are flammable materials (dry grass, etc.), combustible
gasses or combustible liquids.
- Pay special attention to operation in the rain or just
after the rain as the ground may be slippery.
- If you slip or fall to the ground or into a hole, release the
throttle lever immediately.
SPECIFIC SAFETY WARNINGS
4.
- BLADE CAN RECOIL VIOLENTLY FROM MATERIAL
IT CANNOT CUT – Blade can cause you to lose arms
or legs. Keep people and animals 30 feet (10 meters)
away in all directions. If blade contacts foreign objects
during operation, turn off engine and allow blade to
come to a halt. Then check blade for damage. Always
discard blade if it is warped or cracked.
- BLADE CATAPULTS OBJECTS THROUGH AIR -
You can be blinded or injured. Wear eye, face, and
leg protection. Always clear work area of any foreign
objects before using blade. Keep people and animals
10 metres away in all directions.
- BLADE COASTS AFTER THROTTLE IS RELEASED -
A coasting blade can injure you or bystanders. Before
servicing the blade, always turn off engine, and be sure
coasting blade has stopped.
- DO NOT USE ANY OTHER CUTTING ATTACHMENT.
Only use our replacement parts and accessories, which
are designed specifically to enhance the performance
and maximize the safe operation of our products.
Failure to do so may cause poor performance and
possible injury. Use only the stringhead supplied with
this product. Do not use any other cutting attachment.
Use of such attachments will void your factory warranty
and may result in serious bodily injury.
BATTERIES USE AND CARE
5.
Do not open the battery. Danger of short-circuiting.

vapours may be emitted. Provide for fresh air and seek
medical help in case of complaints. The vapours can
irritate the respiratory system.
Use the battery only in conjunction with your STAYER
power tool. This measure alone protects the battery
against dangerous overload.
Use only original STAYER batteries with the voltage
listed on the nameplate of your power tool. When using
other batteries, e. g. imitations, reconditioned batteries or
other brands, there is danger of injury as well as property
damage through exploding batteries.
Do not continue to press the On/Off switch after the
machine has been automatically switched off. The battery
can be damaged.
The battery is equipped with a temperature control
which allows charging only within a temperature range
of between 0 °C and 45 °C. A long battery service life is
achieved in this manner.
Observe the notes for disposal.
Use only the battery chargers listed on the accessories
page. Only these battery chargers are matched to the
lithium ion battery of your power tool.
The battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure full
capacity of the battery, completely charge the battery in
the battery charger before using your power tool for the
first time.
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time
without reducing its service life. Interrupting the charging
procedure does not damage the battery.
The lithium-ion battery is protected against deep
discharging. When the battery is empty, the machine is
switched off by means of a protective circuit: The inserted
tool no longer rotates.
Temperature Dependent Overload Protection
When using as intended for, the power tool cannot
be subject to overload. When the load is too high or
the allowable battery temperature range of 0–50 °C
is exceeded, the speed is reduced. The power tool will
not run at full speed until reaching the allowable battery
temperature. position. Unintentional actuation of the On/
Off switch can lead to injuries.
Open the keyless chuck 2 by turning in rotation direction ,
until the tool can be inserted. Insert the tool. Firmly tighten
the collar of the keyless chuck 2 by hand in rotation
direction . This automatically locks the drill chuck.
The locking is released again to remove the tool when the
collar is turned in the opposite direction.
