Operating instructions
ENGLISH
Please observe the information in these operating instruc-
tions, in addition to the application conditions and
permissible data according to the data sheet for type 6228,
to ensure the satisfactory operation and long service life of
the unit:
• Follow general technical regulations when planning the use and
operation of the unit!
• Take suitable measures to prevent inadvertent operation or
impermissible interference!
• Note that pipes and valves must not be disconnected in systems
under pressure!
• Always switch off the power supply before making adjustments to
the system!
• We cannot accept any liability and the warranty is no longer valid
for units and accessories if these instructions are not observed or
following inadmissible interference with the unit!
• Warning! The surface of the electromagnet can become very
hot during continuous operation. Danger of injury!
Modular, servo-assisted flow valve with servo-diaphragm
and push-over coil
• Coil can be locked in 4 x 90° steps, in between which it can be
freely positioned around the armature guide tube
• Tightening torque of the fixing nuts: max. 2,8 Nm
• Can be mounted in any position, preferably with the magnetic
system at the top
• Valve operation A: service port normally closed
• Media: neutral fluids and gases which do not attack the valve
body and seal or diaphragm materials
• Sealing material see on the nameplate annexed to the nominal
diameter: EPDM (-10°C to +50°C); NBR and FPM (0 to +50°C)
• Max. ambient temperature for continuous operation: +50°C
Voltage, electrical power, pressure range and nominal
diameter are stated on the nameplate.
Voltage tolerance: ±10 %

• Power connection: unit socket type 2506 or type 2510 to
connecting lug of coil; fixing torque: 0.4 Nm
• Always connect the protective conductor!
• Please observe the warnings on the coil, particularly on coils
requiring rectifier.
• Ensure satisfactory seating of the seal when screwing the coil to
the unit!
Work on the unit must only be performed by skilled
personnel using suitable tools!
• Clean the pipe runs before fitting the valve!
• Fit a strainer if necessary as protection against fault.
• The valve may be installed and removed radially by hand strength;
installation in a piping system thus presents no problems.
• Order connecting parts such as union nuts, insert and O-rings
separately as a connector set.
• Observe the direction of flow!
• Seal the thread with PTFE tape.
• Never use the valve or the armature guide tube as a lever when
screwing in the pipe connections!
• Do not subject the valve housing to stress when fitting!
• Attention: After removing the coil, check the function of the
protective conductor before re-applying the voltage
(measurement point: protective conductor connection, fixing
screw of the coil; max. protective conductor resistance 0.1
W; test voltage 12 V; test current 1 A).
• Faults can be caused by dirt, short-circuits or interruptions in the
voltage.
• Attention! With an AC supply the coil overheats if the core is
stuck.
• Never connect the magnet coil to the power without the valve
armature!
• In the event of fault, check the port connections, voltages and
operating pressures.
