3.3 Unpacking
To unpack the device, proceed as follows:
•
Remove the device out of the carton and remove the
packaging material.
•
The packaging material cannot be used as a base for the unit.
•
The appliance may be title by a max angle of 45 °, otherwise
the cooling system can be damaged.
•
Clean the interior surface with lukewarm water using a soft
cloth.
•
Only connect the unit to the mains after waiting at least 2 hours and then switch it
on. Only then place food or drinks in the unit.
PLEASE NOTE

Only remove the blue protective fi lm shortly before setting up the device in the
location where it will be used, to prevent scratches and dirt accumulations.

If possible, keep the original packaging for the device for the duration of the guaran-
tee period of the device, in order that the device can be re-packaged properly in the
event of a guarantee claim.
3.4 Setup location requirements
In order to ensure the safe and trouble-free operation of the device, the setup location
must fulfi l the following prerequisites:
•
Place your appliance on a fl oor that is strong enough to support the appliance when
it is fully loaded.
•
Locate the appliance away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (stove, heater,
radiator, etc.). Direct sunlight and heat sources may adversely aff ect energy consump-
tion and cooling performance.
•
This cooling appliance is intended for ambient temperatures of 16–38 °C.
•
This unit is not designed for use in a garage or any other outside installation.
•
Do not set up the device in a hot, wet or extremely damp environment or near fl am-
mable material.
•
The device requires an adequate fl ow of air in order to operate correctly. Leave a
clearance of 45 cm around the appliance.
•
Do not close the ventilation openings in the device housing.
•
The electrical socket must be easily accessible so that the power lead can be discon-
nected easily, in the case of an emergency.
•
The installation and assembly of this device in non-stationary
setup locations (e.g. on ships) must be carried out by specialist
companies / electricians, provided they guarantee the prerequisi-
tes for the safe use of this device.
•
For energy saving reasons please ensure that the drawers are
closed when the appliance is turned on.
•
Adjust the adjustable feet, so that the device is placed even.
