INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND PRECAUTIONS: The FA 60 041 00 is an anchorage point that complies with standard EN 795:2012 Type A.
It is designed to be installed on horizontal surfaces where the user needs to move around the anchorage to carry out their work. It is also designed to
accommodate a KRATOS SAFETY retractable fall arrester in its receptacle. The receptacle is free to rotate around the mast, providing the operator a
large range of action (Fig. 2) without having to worry about their retractable fall arrester. In addition, because the receptacle is elevated, it is possible to
use KRATOS SAFETY self-retracting fall arresters that have a recovery system (ref. FA 20 401 XX/XXS).

Installation:
The receiving structure must be able to support a minimum force of 12 kN in all directions; using the nature of the receiving structure and the site's
configuration, an engineer must run calculations to determine that the sizing of the structural anchors (length), the type of fixture (chemical or mechanical
anchors, etc.) and the position of the structural anchors, and thus of the plate, are all correct.
The plate (A) must be installed using four M12 fasteners/structural anchors; these must be made of Stainless Steel, grade A470 (minimum).
The plate can be fixed directly to the concrete structure or be flange-mounted or clamped to beam-type structures; in the latter two cases, the FA 60 207
00 or FA 60 208 00 plates can be used.
If the FA 60 041 00 anchorage is installed directly in preformed concrete, drill perpendicularly into the concrete to the diameter suitable for your
fastening method. Be sure to remove all debris from the hole and clean it properly (blowing).
Next, follow the instructions provided by the chemical or mechanical anchor manufacturer to ensure compliance with drilling dimensions and drying
times, if necessary.
Tightening torques for nut and screw:
M12: 110 Nm
A height of 200 mm between the fixing plate and the receptacle means that the waterproofing can be raised if necessary after fixing the plate.
Once installed, the anchorage point is ready for a KRATOS SAFETY retractable fall arrester to be inserted into the receptacle (D). To do this, remove the
clevis pin (E) and install the retractable fall arrester on the side. Reposition the pin, ensuring that it passes through the top fixing point of the retractable
fall arrester, and then lock the pin with the cotter pin (F). The retractable fall arrester should be installed as horizontally as possible, depending on its
diameter. If you are having trouble deciding between two positions, choose the lower of the two holes (G).
We recommend using retractable fall arresters certified for horizontal use in this type of anchorage point.
Warning! Pay particular attention to properly installing the clevis pin and its cotter pin in the holes provided on the anchorage, as well as to
properly fitting the retractable fall arrester on the clevis pin.
Before first use, we recommend that the installation be visually inspected by a suitable person who can carry out the "acceptance" of this
installation. This person must check, among other things: suitability of the structural anchors (chemical or mechanical fixing) and the receiving
structure; the installation plan relative to the job to be performed; cross-compatibility between pieces of equipment.
DANGER: A retractable fall arrester with a recovery winch (FA 20 401 XX/XXS) can be installed in this anchorage. However, due to the risk of
the cable rubbing against the structure and, in particular, against a sharp edge, in the case of rescue by raising or lowering a victim suspended on
the cable, we do not recommend proceeding in this way UNLESS the friction of the rope against the sharp edge is SPECIFICALLY addressed.
Use a connector (EN 362) to make connections.
User safety relies on the ongoing effectiveness of the equipment and full understanding of the safety instructions contained in this leaflet.
The readability of the equipment's markings must be checked regularly.
Ensure that the general set-up limits swinging in the event of a fall and that the work is performed in a way that limits the risk and the height of a fall. It
is important to check the free space under the user's feet depending on the system used.
Before and during use, we recommend that you make the necessary arrangements for a safe rescue, should this be required. If a motionless victim
remains suspended in a harness for more than 20 minutes, serious, potentially life-threatening, consequences can result (harness hang syndrome).
Be aware of the hazards that could reduce the performance of your equipment and, therefore, the safety of the user in the case of: exposure to extreme
temperatures (< -30°C or > 50°C); prolonged exposure to the elements (UV rays, moisture) or to chemicals; electrical constraints; the fall protection
