13. Information related to EMC
EMC EN 60601-1-2-2007
Emissions
The unit uses RF energy only for its internal function. Therefore, its RF emissions are very low
and are not likely to cause any interference in nearby electronic equipment.
The unit is suitable for use in all establishments, including domestic establishments and those
directly connected to the mains supply low voltage which supplies buildings used for domestic
purposes. It doens't built any active electronic component.
Inmunity
Floors should be of wood, concrete or ceramic. If floors are covered with synthetic material, the
relative humidity should be at least 30%.
The unit is tested to be inmune to electric fields of:
± 6 kV by contact.
± 8 kV by air.
The quality of the Mains should be that of a typical commercial or hospital. Normally tanks will
support without show any problema of working:
Quick bursts: ± 2 kV for Mains.
Shockwaves: ± 1 kV differential mode
The quality of the power supply must be that of a typical commercial or a hospital. If the user of
the unit requires continued operation during power interruptions, it is recommended that the tank
be powered from an uninterruptible power supply or a battery.
Magnetic fields at Mains frequency should be like a typical location in a commercial environment
or hospital: 3 A / m.
Mobile equipment and RF communications should not be used closer to any part of the tank,
including cables. The recommended separation distance to the transmitter frequency is depending
of the working freq of the device:
d = 1.17 √ P 150 kHz to 80 MHz
d = 1.17 √ P 80 MHz to 800 MHz
d = 2.33 √ P 800 MHz to 2.5 GHz
Where P is the maximum output power of the transmitter in watts (w) according to the transmitter
manufacturer specification and d is the recommended separation distance in meters.
Field strengths from fixed RF transmitter, as determined by an electromagnetic site inspection and
should be less than the compliance level in each frequency range of the above table.
Interference may occur in the vicinity of equipment marked with the following symbol:
