3.1. Working with the unit
POSITIONING OF THE UNIT
The unit should be located so that power can be accessed at any time. Ensure that the
power supply to the unit corresponds to that specified on the rating plate!
1. Use the product with a natural ventilation system.
2. Select a place to install the fan.
CAUTION! Drilling through the hull is prohibited!
3. Align the unit with the flow arrow in the direction of the exhaust outlet
(determine the correct airflow direction before installation). The unit can be
mounted at an angle to provide rainwater drainage.
4. Connect the inlet and outlet duct with a stainless steel clamp.
5. The fan should be permanently mounted and located above the normal bilge
level and below the operable motor if possible.
3.2. Connecting the unit
1. Connect the positive (+) red wire and the negative (-) black wire using crimp
connectors.
2. The connections must be sealed with a sealant.
3. The unit leads must be protected by a fuse of the same capacity installed in
the positive (+) lead.
4. Minimum lead wire size shall be 16 AWG.
