PREPARING THE MACHINE
6.1
Moving the packaged machine
The machine is contained in specific packing (box + two-way pallet to be lift up only on the longer side) with a platform so
that it can be moved by a fork-lift.
Packing dimensions are:
Lenght:
mm 1750
Width: mm 1200
Height:
mm 1730
The fork lift or the transpallet have to pick up the pallet at the center, the item has to be moved very carefully
without crash and paying attention to lift it up over the reasonable height. Packing crates cannot be stacked.
6.2
How to unpack the machine
1. Remove the outer packing lifting with a screwdriver the clips that join box and pallet. The machine is fastened to its
platform by wedges that clamp its wheels and with a polyethylene blade.
2. Remove the blade with suitable nippers paying attention to its elastic return.
3. Use a ramp to lower the machine off the platform, pushing it in reverse.
4. Keep the pallet as it may be necessary to transport the machine again.
6.3
Putting the batteries in the machine
The batteries must be housed in the battery compartment below the solution tank and must be handled using special
hoisting equipment suitable both for the weight and for the hooking system.
Strictly comply with the instructions given by the battery manufacturer or retailer regarding battery maintenance
and daily recharging. All installation and maintenance procedures must be carried out by specialists. All the
recharging operations must be carried in well-aired places, far from heat sources.
When you manipolate batteries always wear safety cloth according to the currently laws. In particular,
before manipulating batteries, take off all metallic objects such as rings, necklace and watches from
hands, wrists and neck. Do not lean metallic objects on the batteries.
When inserting the batteries:
1. Tilt completely the seat till the complete reversement
2. Remove the handwheel that locks the clean water tank to the chassis.
3. Tilt completely the solution tank.
4. Install the battery following the schema and connect them with wirings given (Fig. 1). Prevent tools from coming into
contact simultaneously with more than one battery pole.
5. Take care not to crush, tear or damage the seat cable, when turning the tanks to their original position.
6. Screw the handwheel that fix the cleaning tank to the chassis.
6.4
Connecting the battery connector
The battery connector is located below the driving seat.
6.5
Recharge of batteries
In order not to cause the risk of permanent damage to the batteries, one should at all costs avoid their complete
discharge and effect recharging within a few minutes after that the signal lamp of discharged batteries begins to blink.
Never leave the batteries completely discharged, even if the machine is not being used. Do not leave one
battery to discharge separately from the other. In case of wet batteries, every 10 recharging operations check
the level of the electrolyte and, if necessary, top up with distilled water. Fill up each batterie cell only after
charging. After the filling up replace and screw the batteries caps
When recharging the batteries, keep the seat lifted and blocked. Make sure that the battery charger fits the
installed batteries both for capacity as for type. Use ONLY TRACTION batteries OPEN LEAD/ACID or
GEL/AGM. Never charge a GEL/AGM battery with an unsuitable battery charger. Carefully follow the
instructions given by the manufacturer of batteries and battery charger.
Danger of gas exhalations and emission of corrosive liquids
Fire danger: do not approach with free flames.
6.6
Battery charge level gauge
The digital display on the console indicates the battery charge level (see paragraph CONTROLS AND INSTRUMENTS).
