6.3 AVAILABLE CHARGING MODES
The winter mode should be used at temperatures below 0°C. It charges the battery to a target
voltage that is 0.3V higher.
6 V motorbike mode (2 A)
6 V motorbike winter mode (2 A)
12 V motorbike mode (2 A)
12 V motorbike winter mode (2 A)
12 V car mode (4 A)
12 V car winter mode (4 A)
6.4 COMMISSIONING
1. Connect the charger to the battery according to the instructions.
2. Connect the charger's mains plug to the mains socket.
3. The display lights up.
The Error 1 LED lights up when:
• The clamps are not connected to the battery
• The positive and negative clamps are reversed
• The vehicle battery's voltage is less than 0.5 V
• The battery is deeply discharged (charging takes place)
4. Select the charging mode by pressing the MODE button and wait 5 seconds.
The Error 1 LED lights up when:
• The battery voltage is less than 1.5 V
• The charger is connected in 6 V mode to a battery with more than 7.8 V
• The charger is connected in 12 V mode to a battery with more than 15.6 V
The Error 2 LED lights up when:
• The voltage of a 6 V battery is less than 5.5 V ± 0.2 V after 4 minutes of charging, or the
voltage is less than 6 V after 6 hours of high-voltage repair
• The voltage of a 12 V battery is less than 11 V ± 0.2 V after 4 minutes of charging, or the
voltage is less than 12 V after 6 hours of high-voltage repair
In case of Error 2, the battery is classified as defective and must be replaced.
When charging is complete, disconnect the charger from the mains socket before removing the
clamps.
6.5 CHARGING PHASES
Automatic charging process with microprocessor control.
1. Diagnosis: Analysis of whether the battery can be charged or not to avoid charging a
defective battery:
Use this setting to charge large 6 V batteries.
Use this setting to charge small 6 V batteries in
winter.
Use this setting to charge 12 V batteries.
Use this setting to charge large 12 V batteries
in winter.
Use this setting to charge 12 V batteries.
Use this setting to charge 12 V batteries in
winter.
