• If the battery voltage is < 0.5 V, the charger recognises this as a faulty connection and
displays Error 1.
• 0.5 V – 1.5 V means the battery is in a poor condition.
• At 1.5 V – 12 V, the pre-charging phase is started.
• At 12 V – 14 V, the constant current charging phase begins.
• 14 V – 15 V means the battery is fully charged.
• If the battery voltage is > 15 V, the charger recognises this as a faulty connection and
displays Error 1.
2.
Pre-charging phase: When the battery voltage is 1.5 V – 12 V, the charger charges the battery
at low current to prolong the battery life.
3.
Soft start phase: Main charging process with a low charging current.
4.
Constant current phases: CC1, CC2, quick charge. Automatic adjustment of the charging
current to the battery condition for a long battery life.
5.
Absorption charging phase with constant voltage (CV): The charging voltage is 14.6 V, but
the charging current is gradually reduced until the battery is fully charged.
6.
Resting phase: After the battery is fully charged, the charging process is terminated.
7.
Restoration: Automatic switching on and off of the circuit. The charger monitors a fully
charged battery. If the battery voltage drops below 12.8 V, the charger starts again with Phase
1 to charge the battery. Ensure that the battery is not overcharged and the electrolyte level
is correct.
7.0 MAINTENANCE AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Always switch off the device and disconnect the mains plug before carrying out maintenance or
inspection work.
Check all the parts for signs of wear. Do not continue to use the product if you find any defects.
Only have parts replaced with genuine spare parts by a specialist in accordance with the
manufacturer's specifications. A lack of care and maintenance can damage the device. Dangerous
situations can arise. To ensure electrical safety, the device must not be treated with or even
immersed in liquids. Regular maintenance helps to ensure the safety of the product and increases
its service life.
• Store the device in a clean, dry place.
• Wind up the cables when the device is not in use.
• Clean the housing and the cables with a slightly damp cloth.
• Remove any corrosion residue from the clamps with a solution of water and baking powder.
• Regularly check the cables for cracks or other damage. The device must no longer be used
with defective cables.
WARNING: All other maintenance work must only be carried out by qualified personnel.

The Error 2 LED is switched on when
condition
the battery voltage is less than 2 V or
the battery is in a faulty state (e.g. a
short-circuited cell).
Solution
Have the battery checked by a
qualified technician.
