Adjusting the cutting depth/bevel
Always unplug the device before working on
it.
Bevel adjustment (fi g. A)
The bevel angle can be adjusted between 0° and
45°.
1. Loosen the bevel adjustment knobs (5).
2. Set the bevel angle by tilting the base plate (4)
until the mark indicates the desired angle on the
depth scale (7).
3. Loosen the bevel adjustment knobs (5).
Setting the cutting depth (fi g. D)
The cutting depth can be set at 0 – 59 mm without
the guide rail attached; with the guide rail attached:
0 – 55 mm.
1. Loosen the depth adjustment knob (6) and move
the pointer to obtain the correct depth of cut.
2. Tighten the depth adjustment knob (6).
NOTE: For best results, allow the saw blade
to protrude from the work piece by about
3 mm (fi g. D).
Changing the saw blade (fi g. B, C)
1. Press the lock button (12).
2. Press the plunge saw down to the stop (blade
change position).
3. Turn the lock lever (13) clockwise until it
stops.
4. Press the lock lever (13) down and rotate the
blade until the lock position is found.
NOTE: The blade (11) is now locked and
cannot be turned by hand.
5. Turn the blade clamping screw (14) anticlock-
wise to remove.
6. Remove the outer fl ange (15) and used blade
(11). Place the new blade on the inner fl ange
(20).
7. Reinstall the outer fl ange (15) and the blade
clamping screw (14). Turn the screw clockwise
by hand.
NOTE: The direction of rotation of the saw
blade and the rotation of the plunge saw
MUST be the same.
8. Tighten the blade clamping screw fi rmly using
the Allen key.
9. Turn the lock lever (13) clockwise until it
stops.

10. Move the plunge saw back to top position.
11. Push plunge trigger (1) forward.
Adjusting the riving knife (fi g. C)
For correct adjustment of the riving knife (17), refer
to the fi gure C. Adjust the clearance of the riving
knife after changing the saw blade or whenever
necessary.
1. Follow Changing the Saw Blade steps 1–4.
2. Loosen the riving adjustment screw (18) with
an Allen key and set the riving knife as shown
in fi gure C.
3. Tighten the riving knife screw (18).
4. Turn the lock lever (13) clockwise until it
stops.
5. Move the plunge saw back to top position.
Using for the fi rst time
Switching on and off (fi g. A)
To turn on the plunge saw, activate the ON/OFF
switch.
Be careful of the supply voltage: The voltage of
the power source must conform to the information
on the device's model identifi cation plate.
To turn on the plunge saw, activate the ON/OFF
switch.
Holding and guiding the tool (fi g. E,
F)
WARNING:
ALWAYS secure the work piece in such
a manner that it cannot move while sawing.
ALWAYS push the machine forward. NEVER
pull the machine toward your body.
ALWAYS grip the plunge saw fi rmly with both
hands. Put one hand on the main handle (3)
and the second hand on the front handle (8) as
shown in fi gure E.
ALWAYS use the screw clamp to hold the rail
to the work piece as shown in fi gure F.
Make sure the power cord is not in the path of
the saw.
Hold the tool by the main handle (3) and the
front handle (8) to guide the saw properly.
The cutting indicator (20) displays the cutting
line for 0° and 45° cuts (without guide rail).
The blade position indicator (25) shows the
blade position for full plunge.
