■ Do not extinguish any flash flames that may appear with water.
Switch off the device, pull out the mains plug and allow the
device to cool down.
■ In the event of a fire: Do not extinguish with water! Smother
flames with a fireproof blanket or a suitable fire extinguisher.
WARNING – Danger of Injury
■ The device gets hot and must not be moved while in use.
■ Never leave the device unsupervised when it is hot. In particular,
make sure that no children or persons who are not capable of
correctly recognising or reacting to possible dangers come near
the hot device.
■ Ensure that children do not have unsupervised access to the
device. Incorrect use can be dangerous.
■ Make sure that the connecting cable does not present a trip
hazard.
■ Hot steam may escape when the lid is opened. You should
therefore keep your head and hands out of the danger zone.
There is a danger of scalding from heat, hot steam or conden-
sation.
■ Use grill utensils with long, heat-resistant handles.
NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and

■ Pull out the mains plug if a fault occurs during operation. Other-
wise always switch off the device first before the mains plug is
pulled out of the plug socket.
■ Disconnect the device from the mains power before a thunder-
storm.
■ Always pull the mains plug and never the mains cable when
disconnecting the device from the mains power.
■ Do not pull the device by the connecting cable.
■ Protect the device and its connecting cable from other heat
sources, fire, persistent moisture or impacts.
■ Make sure that the connecting cable is not squashed, bent or
laid over sharp edges and does not come into contact with hot
surfaces (e.g. of the device).
■ Never place heavy objects on the device or the connecting
cable.
■ Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to
guarantee that there is no interference that may prevent the
device from working and to avoid possible damage or hazards.

PLEASE NOTE!
■ Keep the packaging material away from children and animals.
There is a danger of suffocation.
• Ensure there is sufficient space to assemble the device and if
necessary use a mat to protect the device or delicate floors from
being scratched.
• Assemble the device on a horizontal, flat surface to make sure it
is straight.
• Follow the assembly steps shown in these assembly and operat-
ing instructions. Incorrect assembly can be dangerous.
• Do not apply any force when assembling the device.
• First tighten the screw connections so they are hand-tight and
then tighten them again properly once you have completed the
assembly step. Otherwise this may cause unwanted tension.
• Tighten the nuts until they fit firmly, and then turn them a quar-
ter turn more. Do not tighten them too hard!

BEFORE INITIAL USE
1. Rinse the grill racks (27), the warming rack (28) and the grease
tray (3) with detergent and warm water to remove any pro-
duction
residues.
To do this, note the "After Use / Cleaning and
Storage" chapter.
2. The device should be used for the first time without any food
in it as it may produce some smoke or odours due to coating
residues. Allow the barbecue to heat up on the highest temper-
ature setting for approx. 30 minutes without any food in it with
the lid closed. To do this, follow the instructions in the "Set-Up
and Connection" and "Use" chapters.
3. Allow the racks and the grease tray to cool down and then
clean them again.
SET-UP AND CONNECTION
PLEASE NOTE!
■ Do not use the barbecue beneath a canopy that is flammable.
■ Only connect the barbecue to a plug socket that is properly
installed and matches the technical data of the barbecue. The
plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so
that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
■ Unwind the connecting cable fully before connecting up the
barbecue.
■ To protect the barbecue from splashing or falling into water,
maintain a minimum distance of 305 cm (10 feet) away from
any bodies of water such as pools or ponds.
1. Set up the barbecue on a stable, horizontal and flat surface.
Ensure there is sufficient clear space on all sides, particularly
towards the barbecue chamber (32).
2. If necessary, lock the castors (19) by twisting the wing nuts.
3. Open the lid (31).
4. Slide the grease tray (3) onto the rails below the barbecue
unit (1) on the back of the barbecue.
To pull out the grease tray, lift it up slightly by its handle to
release it from its locked position.
5. Insert the two grill racks (27) and if required the warming
rack (28) (Picture G).
6. Fold up the side tables (2, 29) and let them engage in the
hinges at an angle of 90°.
Lift them up slightly to fold them down.
7. Unwind the connecting cable and insert the mains plug into a
plug socket.
The operating lamp (41) starts to light up.
USE
PLEASE NOTE!
■ Only use this barbecue if all parts are in their designated place
and the barbecue has been assembled properly in accordance
with the assembly steps in these assembly and operating in-
structions.
■ Each time before you use the barbecue, make sure that it is
undamaged and has been set up and connected correctly.
■ Before each use, check the grease tray and the area below the
heating elements for any grease deposits. Remove excess grease
to prevent any grease fires.
■ While you are barbecuing, the grill racks and the grease tray
must always be inserted.
■ Never place food that is still wrapped in cling film or in plastic
bags on the barbecue.
