assemBly and PreParation for use
Note! The Gourmet Blowtorch is supplied empty and has to be filled up with gas prior to its first use.
Filling / refilling
The Gourmet Blowtorch is supplied as a set with a propane/butane gas cartridge (Rofill Super 100). Please follow these steps to fill
the Gourmet Blowtorch:
- Make sure that the blowtorch is switched off.
- The flame adjustment wheel (11) has to be set fully in the direction of "-".
- Turn the blowtorch on its head.
- Insert the nozzle of the gas cartridge downwards into the inlet valve (3) of the blowtorch. For ideal results, press the gas cartridge
with a pumping motion into the valve (image 2).
- Wait a few minutes for the gas to stabilise.
oPeration
Igniting
- First please ensure that the air inlet (7) on the blowtorch is open. The air inlet can be adjusted by turning the red air flow regulation
ring (10).
- Move the locking switch (5) to the right to "On".
- Push the ignite button (4). The blowtorch ignites immediately. (Image 3)
- The blowtorch switches to continuous operation (image 4) when locking the continuous operation switch (6) The ignition button (4)
can therefore be released without the flame going out. If the switch is on "off" the flame will go out automatically after releasing it
or if the ignition switch (4) is pressed again.
Adjustment of the flame
- Length and strength of the flame: this is adjusted by the flame adjustment wheel (11) ( + / - ) (image 5).
- Flame temperature: this is adjusted by turning the air flow regulation ring (10) (image 6). The greater the air supply, the hotter the
flame.
Completion of the task - switching off the blowtorch
Initially ensure that the switch for continuous operation is set to "off". Then let go of the ignition button (4). It is possible that
continuous operation is still active. Press the ignition button (4) again so it releases automatically.
TIP! Preparation of Crème Brûlée
Prepare the Crème Brûlée as usual and add 1-2 teaspoons of brown sugar per portion on the Crème Brûlée. Heat the sugar carefully
until it caramelises and turns a nice brown colour. Please remember that the edges of the pot can get extremely hot, use pot holders
if necessary.
