Safety instructions for handling
lithium batteries
Batteries (particularly lithium batteries)
may explode if not used properly.
Only charge the batteries included in the
sun shade's package contents with the
charger.
Only use spare batteries of the same
type.
Do not heat the batteries and do not
short circuit them.
Never dispose of batteries in fire.
Health hazard!
Swallowing the battery could cause se-
vere internal injury or even death within
a very short time.
Store both new and used batteries so
that they are not accessible to children.
If you suspect that a battery has been
swallowed or otherwise incorporated,
promptly consult a physician.
If it is no longer possible to safely close
the battery compartment, stop using the
sun shade and store it so that it is not ac-
cessible for children.
Leaking battery acid may lead to chem-
ical burns.
Do not allow battery acid to come into
contact with skin, eyes or mucus mem-
branes. In the event of contact with ac-
id, immediately flush the applicable are-
as with plenty of clean water and consult
a physician if necessary.
Intended use
The sun shade is suitable for providing
protection against direct UV radiation. It
is not designed for providing protection
against rain or snow.
The sun shade is intended for domestic
use only. If used for commercial purpos-
es, the guarantee becomes void.
A protective sleeve for the sun shade
may be purchased separately in a spe-
cialist shop if needed.

Setting up the shade
In the box, you will find:

– A suitable sun shade base must be
used to secure the sun shade.
1. Place the sun shade base in the de-
sired location.
2. Screw the shade top 1 onto the shade
pole (see figure B).
3. Let the shade pole 2 slide into the bot-
tom pole 3. Push the locking button 4
to do so (see figure C).
4. Turn the shade until the locking but-
ton 4 locks into place in the opening 5
(see figure C).
5. Place the shade mast in the sun
shade base and fix it in place (see fig-
ure C and the user manual for the sun
shade base).
The sun shade is now ready for use.

Please note!
– Before opening the sun shade, ensure
that it has a sufficiently secure posi-
tion, that is, that a base with proper
weight is used.
1. Remove the hook and loop strip and,
if necessary, the protective sleeve.
