IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• Make sure the main household voltage is in conformity with the details indicated on the
rating label. Only connect to alternating current.
• Always attach plug to appliance first then plug cord into the power outlet. To
disconnect, turn the control to OFF, then remove plug from power outlet.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces
• The cable of the appliance must not come in contact with any hot parts of the
appliance.
• Place the appliance on a heat resistant surface and do not operate it in the proximity of
other heat sources (electric stove, gas flame).
• To protect against fire hazard, make sure the appliance is always placed at least
15 cm / 6 inches away from all walls. The space above the appliance must be free.
Unhindered air supply must be ensured.
• Both appliance top and pot will get hot while in use. Therefore, mind the danger of
burns when touching them. Touch the pot handle only with a oven mitt when hot.
Allow appliance to cool before handling.
• Never allow children to operate this electrical appliance without supervision.
• Do not leave appliance unattended when in use. Always unplug the appliance to
ensure power is switched off.
• Do not use the appliance as a room heater. Never leave it unattended.
Caution: oil and fat preparations may catch fire if overheated.
• Never cover the appliance with any kind of material during operation. If other cooking
utensils or pots are used, they must be sufficiently resistant to heat.
• Always keep the heating plate and the base of the pot clean and dry.
• Our electrical appliances comply with all relevant safety regulations. In the event of
damage to the appliance or the cable, unplug the appliance immediately. (Repairs
should be performed by authorized personnel only. Improper repairs may result in
considerable danger to the user).
• This appliance is only intended for normal household use, not for commercial use.
• A short power-supply cord should be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
• A longer power-supply cord may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer
cord is used: 1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set should be at least as great
as the electrical rating of the appliance; and 2) The cord should be arranged so that it
will not drape over the table top or counter top where it can be pulled by children or
tripped over unintentionally.

• Improper use and/or unauthorized repair will void all warranty claims.
