• Do not submerge very "wet" food into the frying oil, as this can cause the oil to "foam"
and potentially overflow.
• Food for broth/oil fondue should be cut approximately of the same size to ensure even
and thorough cooking - approximately 2.5 cm (1 inch cubes).
• Many types of food can be coated before fondue frying - typical coatings are batter or
breadcrumbs.
• Do not overfill the pot.

Cleaning and maintenance
Always remove the electrical plug from the outlet first and allow the appliance to
cool before cleaning. The exterior housing can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a
mild detergent. Clean the heating element with a damp cloth - DO NOT IMMERSE
ELEMENT IN WATER. Clean the pot, spatter guard and forks in warm soapy water
or in the dishwasher. Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool on the exterior or
interior of the appliance. Never immerse the appliance or temperature control dial in
water or any other liquid.
Warranty Conditions
• Swissmar provides a 1 year warranty to cover all defects, which are the result of
hidden deficiencies and renders the appliance unsuitable for normal use.
• The warranty is valid from date of purchase, you should therefore keep proof of
purchase.
• Swissmar will alleviate any manufacturing and/or material faults within the warranty
period, free of charge, whether by means of repair, replacement of parts, or by
replacing the appliance. (Shipping charge may apply).
• Repairs will only be carried out under the warranty if appliance is accompanied with a
valid proof of purchase. Any complaints must be registered within the warranty period.
• The warranty will not be valid if the defect is due to damage, as a result of an accident,
incorrect use, neglect (for example not cleaning correctly), or if it has been tampered
with or repaired by anyone other than a Swissmar authorized service agent.
• Similarly, the warranty does not apply in the event of connection to the wrong power
voltage and/or non-compliance with the appliance's operating instructions.
• Swissmar cannot be held liable for material damage or personal accidents resulting
from misuse or a faulty connection, (for example, a faulty electrical socket). In no case
does the warranty grant entitlement to compensation/refund.
• Swissmar will not accept any warranty conditions other than those mentioned above.
