7. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
Maintenance and cleaning:
Before performing any cleaning or maintenance, unplug the equipment from the power grid;
After use, clean the equipment with a damp cloth (do not pour water on the equipment) and store it in a clean, dry place protected from moisture
and dust. Keep your equipment out of reach of children and people unfamiliar with the use of the equipment.
Transportation:
Do not pull or carry the equipment by the electric cord or allow its contact with edges, sharp elements, rough surfaces, oil or chemicals that may
damage its fl exible and insulating properties;
Repairs:
If required to perform any repair or replacement of the internal components, contact the nearest Schulz assistance. Original parts Schulz must be
used. The use of non-original parts results in warranty loss and may cause damage to the equipment or injury.
8. ENVIRONMENTAL GUIDELINES AND RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Wastewater Disposal
The presence of untreated liquid or condensate effl uent in rivers, lakes or other receiving water bodies can adversely affect aquatic life and water
quality. Therefore, Schulz recommends properly treating the liquid effl uent in accordance with the regulatory requirements of current legislation.
Condensate removed daily from the tank, according to the guidelines in the "Preventive Maintenance" chapter of the product's instruction ma-
nual, must be stored in a container and/or in a proper collection network for its subsequent treatment. Schulz sells Oil and Water Separators,
focused on helping treat this effl uent.
2. Disposal of Solid Waste (large parts and product packaging)
The generation of solid waste is an aspect that the user must take into consideration, in the use and maintenance of his equipment. The
environmental impacts can cause signifi cant changes in soil quality, in the quality of superfi cial and underground water and in the population's
health, through the improper disposal of discarded waste (on the streets, receiving bodies of water, landfi lls or vacant lands, etc.). SCHULZ
COMPRESSORES LTDA recommends the management of the waste created by the product since its generation, handling, transport, treatment
until its fi nal disposal. A proper management must consider the following steps: quantifi cation, qualifi cation, classifi cation, source reduction,
selective collection, recycling, storage, transport, treatment and fi nal destination. The disposal of solid waste must be done according to the
regulative requirements of the legislation in vigor.
9. WARRANTY
Schulz Compressores Ltda within the limits stated by this Term, assures the fi rst buyer the warranty against workmanship defect for a period of
one year (including the statutory warranty-period – fi rst 90 [ninety] days), counted from the issue date of the invoice.
WARRANTY GENERAL CONDITIONS
A. Warranty service will only be performed upon presentation of the original invoice.
B. Any warranty service must be performed only by SCHULZ AUTHORIZED DEALER.
C. If the owner of this model (portable product) wishes to be visited at home, a visit fee may be charged by SCHULZ AUTHORIZED DEALER.
D. Warranty will not cover components that wear out with the regular use and are infl uenced by installation and use, such as: electric cord, cover, earth
cable, electrode holder, power switch, fan, handwheel, power trigger and accessories. Schulz will be responsible for spending on services that involve
the components listed above only in cases SCHULZ AUTHORIZED DEALER observes workmanship defects.
E. The warranty will not cover installation and cleaning damages to the external part of the product, as well as damages for misuse, oxidation of
the motor resulting from external agents, installation not in compliance with the "manual", neglect, modifi cations, use of inappropriate accesso-
ries, bad dimensioning for the intended application, falls, perforations, use in disagreement with the Instruction Manual, electric connections to
inappropriate voltages or to power supplies subject to excessive variation or overload.
F. Schulz Compressores Ltda. will only warrant the electric motor if the technical report issued by the authorized
technician indicates workmanship defect. Defects resulting from bad installation are not covered by the warranty.
G. No representative or retailer is authorized to receive any product from the customer to send it to a SCHULZ AUTHORIZED DEALER or take it to
return to the customer, and inform on behalf of Schulz Compressores Ltda. about the progress of the service.
Schulz Compressores Ltda. or SCHULZ AUTHORIZED DEALER will not answer for possible damages or delays as a consequence of the non-
observance of the aforementioned.
WARRANTY EXTINCTION
This warranty will have no effect when:
A. As of its expiration date.
B. The product is delivered for repair to people not authorized by Schulz Compressores Ltda, signs of violations of its original features are
detected or nonstandard assembly.
