LED indicators
Smart protection system
When the protection system finds a problem, the amplifier will shut down
and the PROT LED will blink. For each kind of fault, the LED will blink a certain
number of times, an indication of the cause, as shown in the table below:
Problem: Short circuit or output overload.
Solution: Check that the speaker cables are well insulated and that the
Blink

impedance at the output does not exceed that supported by the amplifier.
Problem: Excessive temperature. When the amplifier reaches approximately
194ºF, the audio is interrupted, and the fans run at full speed to accelerate the
process of cooling the internal components.
Blink
Solution: Check if the amplifier is in a ventilated place or if the fans are not

obstructed. Keep the amp on for a few minutes, so the fans can help with the
cooling process.
Problem: Supply voltage less than 9V.
Blink
Solution: Check battery voltage or power supply.
3x
Problem: Supply voltage higher than 17V.
Blink
Solution: Check battery voltage or power supply.
4x
POWER (blue LED): Indicates that the amplifier is ON
when it is lit up.
PROT (top red LED): Indicates that the amplifier has
found faults in its functioning and entered protection
mode, forcing it to shut down. Use the protection
table below to identify the possible fault and turn the
amplifier on again.
CLIP (lower red LED): Indicates signal saturation at
the amplifier output.
