8.- STANDARDS FOR RACK MOUNTING (max. 49 COFDM-QAM - 7 sub-racks, 7 units high each)
8.1.- Installation of the
ventilation facilities.
In order to facilitate the renewal and
circulation of the air inside the rack, thus
reducing the temperature of the units and in
consequence improving its characteristics, it
is advisable to place 2 ventilation units of
25W, particularly when the rack with the
DVB S2-QAM is located in warm place, with
a temperature higher than 40°C.

These ventilators will be placed on a tray,
that is screwed onto the top part of the
Rack, fig. 1 and 2, and in this way the venti-
lators will be able to extract the air from the
rack with
DVB S2-QAM and will be able to expel it via
the gap (approx. 3-5 cm) at the top part of
the Rack.

To mount the units in the rack with
ventilation, you must mount a blank plate
ref. 5173 between the modules to allow the
correct ventilation of the equipment, and
5073 to supplement units, fig.4.
