TO INSERT THE WEDGES:
4)
After the back is in place, turn the seat assembly upside down on a work table that has been protected
with a clean piece of cardboard or carpet. Put a little glue on the ends of the Wedges (H) and pound
them into the slots in the bottom of the back posts as shown in FIGURE 4. Be sure that the shoulders
of the Back Posts (EE) stay seated against the top of the Seat (D3).
TO ASSEMBLE THE STRETCHERS:
5) Spread glue evenly into the holes in the Side Stretchers (B2). Insert the Center Stretcher (A3) all
the way into the holes until the shoulders are seated. See FIGURE 5. Place the unit on a hard flat
surface to make sure that the two Side Stretchers (B2) are parallel with each other.

TO ATTACH THE LEGS TO THE STRETCHERS AND SEAT:
6) Spread glue evenly into the holes in the Legs (C3) and the holes in the Seat (D3). Attach the legs
to the Side Stretchers (B2) as shown in FIGURE 6. Without delay, put the legs into the seat. With
a rubber mallet or padded hammer, pound the legs in until the shoulders are tight against the seat,
and shoulders of the side stretchers are tight up against the legs. See FIGURE 6A.
After all the legs are in place, set the chair on a hard flat surface to make sure it does not wobble. If
it does, push down on the seat and twist gently. If this doesn't work, sand the bottom of one of the
longer legs. Let the chair set for a few hours on a hard flat surface and allow the glue to dry.
