1. Turn off water supply.
2. Flush tank to remove water and use a sponge to remove any remaining water.
3. Disconnect water supply.
4. Disconnect flapper chain from the flush lever and refill tube from overflow tube.
5. Unscrew tank to bowl nuts from the underside of the toilet and carefully remove tank
from bowl, remember the order of nuts and washers for later re-assembly. If the nuts
and washers are worn out, they should be replaced.
6. Remove old flush valve from toilet tank by removing locknut. Clean area around
opening in toilet tank and toilet bowl.
7. Check to be sure the black washer is on the shank of the new flush valve (tapered
side down) then place the new flush valve into the opening in toilet tank. Position the
flush valve and tighten the locknut 1/2 turn beyond hand tight.
8. Place tank-to-bowl washer on threaded shank of flush valve tapered side down.
9. Carefully place tank over bowl, screws should go inside their appropriate holes and
the tank-to-bowl washer should seal over opening in bowl.
10. Re-assemble nuts and washers, first with the rubber washer then metal washer then
wing nut. Do not overtighten nuts or bolts, tank or bowl may crack.
11. Attach new flapper to flush lever and reconnect refill tube to overflow tube.
12. Reconnect water supply to ballcock.
13. Turn water on and check for leaks.
Turn the restrictor to adjust performance level.
NOTE: Clockwise for more flush volume.
Counterclockwise for less flush volume.
