The remote probe is designed remote the TEST button and the MW terminal of the
installation tester for insulation testing. The user can hold the remote probe in one
hand and a test prod in the other and trigger the measurement.
The alarm function of the installation tester is used to validate the measurement via
an acoustic signal without having to look at the display screen.
Connect the probe to the MW terminal of the installation tester, then connect the
red safety lead supplied with the unit to the COM terminal. The symbol
appears on the bottom strip of the display unit of the instrument.
Connect the red lead to the frame ground of the device to be tested and place the
test prod of the probe on the other side of the device.
Attention: The object to be tested must not be live.

If it is dark, illuminate the measurement point by pressing the button underneath
the probe.
Press the yellow button of the probe to start the measurement and keep the button
depressed until you obtain a stable measurement.
For details of the measurement configuration, technical characteristics, er-
ror messages and memorisation, refer to the user manual of the C.A 6113,
C.A 6116N or C.A 6117.
When the measurement has been made, release the yellow button. Then remove
the probe from the device tested and disconnect the probe from the instrument.
