Reversing the door
Depending on the location of the appliance, it may
be necessary to change the direction the door
opens by changing the side of the door handle.
Polar recommends that the reversal of
the door is carried out by a competent
person(s).
Should a product issue occur as a result
of reversing the door, any repair action
would be chargeable.
If you require an engineer to carry out
the task please call a Polar agent.
If you proceed yourself we recommend
you follow the steps outlined below
once the unit has been unplugged.
Failure to follow properly may void your
warranty.
The door originally opens from the left side.
To reverse the door, follow the instructions on
Pages44-46.
Removing the Compressor Safety
Band
The compressor is located on the top of the
appliance, and sits on rubber washers. Under
normal operating conditions the compressor is
allowed to vibrate.
To avoid damage through excessive motion
during transit, a stainless steel safety band is
placed over the compressor and screwed into
the top of the appliance.
This safety band and the two screws fixing it
to the appliance must be removed before the
appliance is turned on.
