2. Function description

The simalube IMPULSE is a fully automatic, electromechanical pressure booster
for use with simalube lubricators. The IMPULSE pressure booster is screwed
directly onto the lubrication point or connected to a line. A simalube lubricator
supplies the system with lubricant. A dispensing time between 1 and 12 months
can be set on the simalube lubricator. No settings need to be made on the
IMPULSE pressure booster since the lubricant amount/cycle is detected auto-
matically. The pressure booster transforms continuous simalube lubrication into
lubrication bursts of about 0.5 ml in volume and a pressure of up to 10 bar. This
feature is monitored by a logic control that has a blinking LED display (green/
red) to indicate the current operating mode. Power is supplied by a replaceable
battery pack. The pressure booster can be reused multiple times. The IMPULSE
pressure booster is protected against excessively high counterpressure by an
integrated non-return valve.
