1.3 General
Congratulations on your purchase of this Holmatro product. This product is part of a Holmatro system
consisting of a hydraulic pump with one or more connections, one or more Holmatro hydraulic tools and
hydraulic hoses.
This user manual provides instructions on the operation, maintenance, malfunctions and safety of the
equipment concerned. Safety regulations for the use of a complete Holmatro system are also described
in this user manual. Illustrations in this user manual can differ slightly, depending on the model.
Everyone involved in putting the equipment into operation, using it, maintaining it and solving
malfunctions must have read and understood this user manual, particularly the safety regulations.
To prevent errors of operation and ensure that the equipment works trouble-free, the user manuals must
always be available to the operator.
1.4 Application
1.4.1 General
This product is part of the equipment intended for use in industrial applications, basically for lifting /
lowering a load.
1.4.2 Lock nut cylinders (HJ*SN) (HLC) (Fig. 6 and Fig. 11)
Cylinders with a safety nut are specifically meant for mechanically locking a load, with the aim of long-
term retention without hydraulic pressure in the cylinder.
