using the spray function
You can use the spray function to moisten the fabric
you are ironing. Moistening the fabric makes it easier
to smoothen any wrinkles. You can use the spray
function at any temperature by switching the selection
knob (6) to the '
' position and then press it
(see figure 3).
The spray function can only be used when the
water reservoir contains sufficient water.
use -
steam ironing
1. Fill the water reservoir with clean tap water
(see 'Filling the reservoir with water').
2. Put the plug into the wall socket.
3. Turn the temperature-control dial to the required
position within the 'steam range' (see 'Ironing
instructions'). The temperature-indication light
will illuminate.
Water can leak from the soleplate if the
temperature is set to too low a temperature.
This can cause stains. If you see drops of water
you should turn the temperature-control dial to
the recommended range. Steam will be emitted
once the correct temperature is reached.
4. Stand the iron upright and wait until the
temperature-indication light extinguishes.
5. Use the steam-control dial to adjust the quantity
of steam to the required level (see Figure 4).
6. Iron the fabric by sliding the iron over the fabric.
While you are ironing the heating element will automatically switch on and off to maintain the
soleplate at the set temperature. Consequently the temperature-indication light will also
automatically illuminate and extinguish.
7. You can use the steam shot function by switching the selection knob (6) to the '
press it.
8. When you have finished ironing turn the temperature-control dial to the '0' position, remove the plug
from the wall socket, and stand the iron upright to allow it to cool.

Vertical ironing
1. Put the plug into the wall socket.
2. Turn the temperature-control dial to the 'MAX' position.The
temperatureindication light will illuminate.
3. Stand the iron upright and wait until the temperature-indication light
extinguishes.
4. Hold the iron by its handle in front of the fabric you wish to iron
(see Figure 5).
5. Slide the iron over the fabric.While you are ironing the heating
element will automatically switch on and off to maintain the soleplate
at the set temperature. Consequently the temperature-indication light
will also automatically illuminate and extinguish.
6. When you have finished ironing turn the temperature-control dial to
the '0' position, remove the plug from the wall socket, and stand the
iron upright to allow it to cool.
