regulator (11), as shown on figure B1.
2. Screw the flexible pipe (10) on the upper pipe
(7), as shown on figure B2.
3. Screw the upper pipe (7) on the lower pipe (6),
as shown on figure B3.

4. OPERATION
Never use this pump in a pond or swimming
pool while people are present in the water!
Never pull the pump by its power cord. The
pump must be carried by, and placed in the
water using the carry handle (1) or if the
water is deep, be lowered on a rope tied to
the carry handle (1).
Always have the pump switched off and the
plug removed from the power socket before
placing it in or removing it from the water.
Only switch the power back on with dry hands.
Never run this pump dry - out of the water. If
the appliance overheats, the thermal cut-out
will switch it off. If this happens wait
5 minutes before using the pump again.

Automatic operation (Fig. A, C, D)
The cable length between the float switch
(3) and the float switch lock (2) must
always be at least 10 cm.
Clean the filter (15) and filter cover (14) at
regular intervals, and check it for damage.
Otherwise, its function can be impaired.
1. To adjust the cut-in and cut-out height, attach
the float switch (3) cable to the float switch lock
(2) at the required length, , as shown on figure C.
2. Connect quick coupler of the garden hose (not
included) to the hose connector (13).
3. Lower the pump into the rain barrel . If neces-
sary, hang the pump with the included hanger
(8) on the rain barrel, as shown on figure D. You
can adjust the height of the hanger (8) after
loosening the locking knob (9).
3. When the water level is low, it would be advisa-
ble to stand the pump on a solid platform at the
bottom to keep it upright, if practical to do so.
Ensure there are no obstructions around the in-
let openings around the base of the pump. The
inlet openings must be clear of mud or sludge
at the bottom of a barrel.
4. Connect the mains plug.
5. When the pump is lowered into the water and
the power is switched on, it will start to operate
as soon as the floating switch (3) reaches the
minimum activation height (approx. 50cm) in
the water.
6. The pump switches off as soon as the float
switch (3) has reached the switch-off height
(approx. 5cm) due to the falling water level.
7. Ensure that the float switch (3) is not obstruct-
ed in any way.
8. After use, remove the mains plug from the
mains.
9. Lift the pump back out of the water.
Manual operation (Fig. A)
Where manual operation is preferred, the motor
can be activated by raising the float switch (3) by
hand (ON) or lowering it by hand (OFF).
Adjusting the water flow (Fig. A)
It is possible to set the water flow by using the
regulator knob (12):
• By turning clockwise, the water flow will be
increased.
