Identification data
The label under the power base shows the following identification data of the appliance:
• manufacturer and CE mark
• model (Mod.)
• serial number (SN)
Always give the model and serial number to the Authorised Service Centres when requesting assistance.

using the appliance for the first time
Before connecting the appliance to the mains check that the voltage indicated on the label under the power
base matches with the local mains. Place the appliance on a horizontal and stable surface.
Warning!
Do not place the appliance or power cord close to or on top of hot electric or gas cookers, or close to
a microwave oven.
Prevent the cord from protruding beyond the edge of the table or surface. Prevent children from grab-
bing the cord, in this way tipping over the appliance.
If the power cord is too long, wrap it under the power supply base (Fig. 3). The cable must not touch
the hot parts of the appliance.
Position the appliance so that children cannot reach the hot parts.
InsTrucTIons For use
Warning!
The operations of filling and emptying the jug must be carried out with the jug separated from the power
base.
Do not use the jug without water.
Boil the water the first time the appliance is turned on. drain and rinse the jug. repeat the operation
two or three times.
Remove the jug from the power supply base. Turn the lid in opening position (17). Remove the lid. Remove
the filter holder from the jug (Fig. 5). Fill the jug with fresh plain water to the desired level (Fig. 6). The level
should never be less than two cups (Fig. 7).

Remove the tea filter (Fig. 8). Place the desired amount of tea in the filter. Place the tea filter in the filter holder.
Place the filter holder into the jug. Close the lid and rotate it to align the reference with the closing symbol (16).
Place the jug on the power base (2).
Insert the plug into the socket, which must be earthed. You will hear two beeps. Press the power on button
(13).
Select the desired infusion temperature: press the button (11) for 85°C (185 °F) temperature or the button (12)
for 100°C (212°F) temperature. It is recommended to set the temperature to 85 degrees (185°F) for green tea,
oolong tea and white tea; set the temperature to 100 degrees (212°F) for black tea and fruit tea.
Turn the knob (10) to set the desired infusion time, depending on your taste.
Press the infusion power on/start button (13) to begin the preparation of tea. The button light starts flashing.
When the water reaches the set temperature the infusion starts. The water pump is activated and continuously
draws water from the jug bringing it in the filter holder. The infusion comes out of the filter holder that falls in
the jug.
