Problem
The product moves slowly, with ir-
regular speed or not at all.
The cutting result is unsatisfactory. The blades are blunt or damaged.
The engine backfires when the en-
gine stops.
The engine stops when you try to
reverse.
Transportation
Note:
Close and attach the hood to the product
during transportation to prevent damage. Connect
the hood to the product with the correct tools (rope,
cord and so on).

Cause
The product is in freewheel mode.
The parking brake is engaged.
The drive belt is loose or dam-
aged.
There is air in the transmission.
There is unwanted materials on
the steering plate (if the steering
plate is installed).
The square key on the axle is
missing.
The cutting deck is not parallel.
The grass is wet.
The grass is long.
The tire pressure is incorrect.
The product is operated at too high
forward or rearward speed.
The drive belt for the cutting deck
is worn or damaged.
The throttle control is not put in the
slow position.
The reverse operation system
(ROS) is not engaged.
Transportation, storage and disposal
Action
Pull out the freewheel control lev-
er. Refer to
freewheel mode on page 20 .
Disengage the parking brake.
Replace drive belt.
Remove the air from the transmis-
sion. Refer to
from the transmission on page 33 .
Clean the product.
Install the square key. Refer to
repair the tires on page 25 .
Sharpen the blades or replace the
blades.
Adjust the parallelism of the cutting
deck. Refer to
lelism of the cutting deck on page
29 .
Let the grass become dry before
you cut it.
Start with a high cutting height and
decrease it gradually.
Do a check of the tire pressure.
Adjust the tire pressure if it is nec-
essary.
Use slower speed.
Replace the drive belt for the cut-
ting deck.
