NOTICE!
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the sewing machine may result in damage
to the sewing machine.
− Never adjust the pattern selection dial while the sewing
machine is running.
− Always remove all batteries before using the sewing
machine with the power adapter.
The sewing machine can be operated in two ways; with the foot
pedal or with the power OFF/speed switch:
1. Turn the handwheel
position.
2. Lift the presser foot
fabric under the presser foot.
3. Using the pattern selection dial
wish to use (see chapter"Selecting/changing a stitch pattern").
4. Lower the presser foot by moving the presser foot lifter back down.
5. Use either the foot pedal
sewing machine and begin sewing.
When you are ready to stop sewing a particular piece, proceed as follows:
1. Lift your foot off the foot pedal or slide the power OFF/speed switch to the
"OFF" position.
2. Turn the handwheel counterclockwise to raise the needle to its highest
position.
3. Move the presser foot lever up to lift up the presser foot and gently remove
the fabric from the machine.

• to use the foot pedal, simply press your foot down on the
pedal. Stop sewing any time by releasing your foot from
the pedal.
• to use the sewing machine without the foot pedal, set
the power OFF/speed switch to either "L" for low speed or
"H" for high speed, and it will automatically start sewing.
To stop sewing, slide the power OFF/speed switch to the
"OFF" position.
