RANDOM SLOPE
Similar to the previous one, but in this case, the values occur progressively in the form of ramps (si-
milar to a triangle with random values). Its parameter defines a drop point. In other words, when a
value X (green line) is set, random values will continue to be generated that progressively ascend or
descend until reaching the assigned value. To activate or deactivate the drop point mode, press the
SMALL encoder. (Deactivated = NO JUMP). Turn the SMALL encoder to set the drop value (green line).
CLOCK
As the name suggests, it generates clock signals, ideal for synchronizing the entire Eurorack system. Its
parameter modifies the mode: 1 pulse, 4ppqn (1/16th), and 24ppqn. The LED will be yellow.
Please note that the values range from -5 to +5. If a module does not accept negative values, you can apply
the VOLUME and OFFSET modifiers (explained later) to achieve a clock range from 0V to 5V.
On page 24 (KAIROS`s DIAGRAM) of this manual, the waveform shapes are depicted as the parameter varies.
KAIROS also includes various modifiers that can be applied to any waveform. Some modifiers cannot be applied
to the MIDI type, but it has its own set of modifiers. Here are all the modifiers available in KAIROS:
PHASE/DELAY
These modifiers shift the waveform and/or make it start later. To switch between editing PHASE and
DELAY, press the SMALL encoder. Phase is not available in RANDOM and RANDOM SLOPE modes.
Neither PHASE nor DELAY is available in the MIDI type.
CROSSOVER
An interesting way to generate even more "crazy" waveforms and functions. CROSSOVER allows you
to choose the SOURCE channel to combine with the current channel (DESTINATION) in different ways:
MIX
Sum both channels and divide by 2.
AND
Binary operator: AND (DESTINATION & SOURCE).
OR
Binary operator: OR (DESTINATION | SOURCE).
XOR
Binary operator: XOR (DESTINATION ^ SOURCE).
