Additional safety instructions for wire brushing operations
Safety warnings specific for wire brushing operations:
a) Be aware that wire bristles are thrown by the brush even during ordinary
operation.Do not overstress the wires by applying excessive load to the brush. The
wire bristles can easily penetrate light clothing and/or skin.
b) Allow brushes to run at operating speed for at least one minute before using
them.During this time no one is to stand in front or in line with the brush. Loose
bristles or wires will be discharged during the run-in time.
c) Direct the discharge of the spinning wire brush away from you. Small particles and
tiny wire fragments may be discharged at high velocity during the use of these brushes
and may become imbedded in your skin.
3、SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
Before attempting to operate this tool, please read and follow the instructions
carefully.
Important: Always wear eye protection when using this tool. Ear protection should
be worn when using this tool.
1. Children
All children and onlookers should be kept well away from the work area. This tool must not be
operated by children. When not in use keep the tool in a secure place and out of reach of
children.
2. Avoid electric shock.
Keep the cable clear of the tool while working. Do not work on or near equipment that is
connected to an electrical supply.
3. Work environment.
Do not use the tool in damp or wet areas, or near inflammable liquids or gases.
4. Personal safety.
For your safety, always wear safety goggles and ear protection. Tie back long hair and keep
your fingers clear of moving parts.
5. Clothing
Avoid wearing loose clothing or jewellery.
6. Protect the cable.
Do not carry the tool by the cable or pull the cable to remove the plug from the socket. Protect
the cable from heat. Oil, solvents, sharp objects, or anything which could damage the
insulation.
7. Disconnect tools.
Always ensure the mains supply is disconnected when not in use or changing tools.
8. Inspect the cable before use.
Inspect the tool cable and any extension leads used periodically for excessive wear or damage.
If damaged do not use. A qualified electrician should carry out repairs.
9. Inspect the tools before use.
