10. Avoid unintentional starting
Ensure the on/off switch is OFF before plugging into the mains.
11. Be alert.
Power tools require the user to concentrate at all times. Do not use if distracted or tired.
12. Your tool stops.
If the tools stops unexpectedly, or appears to break down in use, disconnect from the mains
supply before handling tool bits or other moving parts.
13. Caution
Only use the power transformer supplied.
14. Secure your work.
Always make sure you fasten or clamp your work securely before using the tool.
15. Do not use damaged or bent attachments. Discard immediately.
16. Check the collet tightness regularly if using the tool at high speeds or for an extended
period.
17. Accessories must be rated for at least the speed recommended on the tool warning label.
18. For your own safety, use only the manufacturer's accessories and attachments,
19. Ensure that the wheel dimensions are compatible with the grinder.
20. Ensure that blotters are used when they are provided with the bonded abrasive product
and when they are required;
21. Ensure that the abrasive product is correctly and tightened before use and run the tool at
no-load for 30 s in a safe position, stop immediately if there is considerable vibration or if other
defects are detected. If this condition occurs, check the machine to determine the cause;
22. Do not use separate reducing bushings or adapters to adapt large hole abrasive wheels;
23. Do not use cutting off wheel for side grinding;
24. Ensure that sparks resulting form use do not create a hazard e.g. do not hit persons, or
ignite flammable substances;
25. Ensure that ventilation openings are kept clear when working in dusty conditions. If it
should become necessary to clear dust, first disconnect the tool form the mains supply (use
non metallic objects) and avoid damaging internal parts;
26. Always use eye and ear protection. Other personal protective equipment such as dust
mask, gloves, helmet and apron should be worn;
27. The wheel continues to rotate after the tool is switched off.
28. Check that the work piece is properly supported.
