BEFORE FIRST USE IRONING WITH STEAM
When steam ironing for the first time, it is recommended to iron a
cheap/unused cloth to test that the iron is working at the correct
temperature. Ensure that this is done without using the steam setting.
PLEASE NOTE: DISENGAGE THE EASY CARRY LOCK BEFORE USING.
• STEP 1: Fill the water tank according to the instructions in the
section entitled 'Filling the Water Tank'.
• STEP 2: Plug in and rotate the temperature control in a
clockwise direction on the iron.
• STEP 3: To increase the temperature of the steam iron, rotate
the temperature control dial in a clockwise direction until the
required temperature is selected. Reduce the temperature by
rotating the temperature control dial in an anticlockwise
direction. The temperature indicator light will illuminate to
indicator that the iron is heating up; this will switch off when it
is ready to use.
• STEP 4: Select the steam setting by pressing and holding the
steam button. The steam setting can be switched off at any
time by releasing the steam button.
• STEP 5: Push the continuous steam locker button without
pressing the steam button.
• STEP 6: After use, rotate the temperature control dial to the
'MINT position, then unplug the iron from the main power
supply.
• NOTE: The steam iron will need to be set to position 2 heat
setting to produce steam. NOTE: When the steam iron is not in
use, ensure that it is rested on the base unit.
• WARNING: Do not use the steam iron to iron one particular
area for long periods of time as this will damage the fabric.
• CAUTION: The hose will get very hot during use; do not touch it.
